It is with regrets that the FAO Association Board of Governors has decided the FAOA Black Tie Dinner, planned for 24 September must be cancelled for this year, the 25th Anniversary Year of FAOA. (But see big news at the bottom…)
Due to the continuing pandemic, concerns of many members, and considerations of our guest speaker, we feel this is the best COA to move this event to Spring 2021.
For those that have already paid for the 2020 event, we will get back with you on options for your advanced payments.
On a very bright note, our FAOA Distinguished Speaker Series by ZOOM has been going very well with between 80-110 participants for each event from around CONUS and the world. This is a popular format that we will continue into the future, even after we are also able to resume Live speaker events and FAOs on Tap networking events.
A special thanks to BR (ret.) Peter Zwack, Eurasia FAO, for his recent Speaker event with FAOA on 28 August, focused on “Perspectives on Russia and Eurasia from now into the next generation”
AND NOW FOR THE BIG NEWS—AND MARK YOUR CALENDARS: Our planned Distinguished Guest and Speaker for the cancelled FAOA Black Tie Dinner, DIA Director LTG Robert Ashley, Jr., has graciously agreed to do a virtual FAOA Distinguished Speaker Event on Friday, 25 September at 1830 EDT. We are all very much looking forward to the event and more details to follow!
